A former Paris Saint German striker, Jean Adams was born in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.
A pilgrimage by his grandma soon saw him being taken over by a French couple who took care of him and sent him to school.
Adams grew loving football and became a professional, playing for several French teams across divisions until the worst happened.
It was after a ligament tear, and the anaesthetist charged to provide anesthesia for a surgery on him lost concentration. This caused Bronchospasms for Adams, and distorted the flow of oxygen to his brain. He soon slid into coma and has been in that state since 1982, now 37 years.
His wife, Bernadette has been with him for every moment of those years and has been looking after him, alongside their two kids.
Jean Adams' first child is 50 years old while his second with Bernadette is 43.
How well can true love get!
